Sand Creek Rottweilers was started because of a deep-seated love for the breed. As a young man, Gordon bought his first Rottweiler, Roscoe, who was with him through thick and thin. Roscoe protected Gordon's young bride from Alberta when he was away on the farm. He guarded their young children and was gentle with them. When he died after close to ten years with the Holdeman family, he was greatly mourned and missed. The dream to raise Rotties started years ago, and now is a reality for the Holdeman family.
